What Is Arbor Day?
Arbor Day is an annual observance that promotes tree planting and care. The first observance occurred in Nebraska, in 1872, and it continues to be recognized across the nation to this day. The City of Bel Aire and the Tree Board celebrate Arbor Day with a proclamation and the planting of a tree on the last Saturday in April.
