Arbor Day

What Is Arbor Day?

Arbor Day is an annual observance that promotes tree planting and care. The first observance occurred in Nebraska, in 1872, and it continues to be recognized across the nation to this day. Arbor Day 2021 will mark the 149th anniversary of the holiday. To learn more about Arbor Day, visit the Arbor Day Foundation website.

The City of Bel Aire and the Tree Board celebrate Arbor Day with a proclamation and the planting of a tree on the last Saturday in April.
