The playground at the Bel Aire Recreation Center will soon undergo a major renovation, which includes replacing the main play structure. As part of this upgrade, the current play structure will be available for sale through a bidding process. This structure has served the community well, and it shows expected wear from regular public use. However, it is still suitable for anyone interested in repurposing it for another location.
Bids will be accepted by email to Brian Hayes at bhayes@belaireks.gov until Friday, December 5, with the play structure going to the highest bidder.
The structure will be sold as-is. The winning bidder will be responsible for the contractor’s removal cost of $1,000 and will work directly with the contractor to ensure proper removal. The buyer will also need to coordinate transportation once the removal is complete.
