Curbside Clean Up - October 10th
Waste Connections requests all items to be collected to be set at the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on October 10th.
All items being collected need to be able to be handled by one or two people safely. General trash, small amounts of bundled brush or limbs, Furniture including, chairs, couches, tables. Appliances including, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves small electrical appliances such as TV’s, computers, mixers, blenders. Patio grills, patio furniture, push lawn mowers (free of gas & oil) and lawn trimmers. Tree limbs and branches must be cut in 3ft. lengths and bundled for easy pickup. Any trash not in the trash cart must be in throwaway containers such as boxes or bags, no more than 30-gallon capacity. No loose trash or debris or no box or bag may exceed 40 pounds in weight.
Here is a list of items NO LANDFILL OR TRANSFER STATION will accept:
Car batteries, oil filters, fluorescent light bulbs, propane tanks, any asbestos materials, explosives, paint (we will take empty & dried up paint cans), no hazardous liquids (such as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, solvents, diesel fuel, gas, oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, etc…) tires. REFRIGERATORS, FREEZERS AND AIR CONDITIONS must be tagged by a technician and must have the appropriate paper work with it in order for Waste Connections to pick it up.
E-Recycling and Shredding Day - October 10th
Opportunity to bring documents to be shredded or unwanted electronics to be disposed of responsibly. Please remember to maintain social distancing requirements and wear masks if needed.
Bel Aire Lions Club will be on site to assist as well as collect used glasses, old cell phones, discarded hearing aids, and used ink cartridges.
