The Bel Aire City Council is seeking input from Bel Aire residents on mayor and city council terms. Currently, the mayor serves a two-year term and both the mayor and city council can serve unlimited terms. The questions being proposed are below:
- Should the mayor's term change from two to four years?
- Should the number of consecutive terms for the mayor of Bel Aire be limited?
- Should the number of consecutive terms for the city council of Bel Aire be limited to two four-year terms?
A town hall is scheduled for October 26th starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Bel Aire City Hall. This will be an opportunity for additional information and to ask questions. If you aren't able to attend, feel free to share your feedback using the Bel Aire City Council and Mayor Term Question online form.
